We lost our dear Phoebe after a short but valiant battle with aggressive stomach cancer.

Be free Phoebe and herd those sheep the way you always wanted to....your way.

We hope that you get to bite Auntie Margaret on the bum since you won't be doing that to us any longer.

Our bed feels so big and empty without you on it.

We love you Phoebe...you truly were a "once in a lifetime" dog. You left some pretty big pawprints for your daughter and grandaughters to fill.

Until we meet again....

Phoebe is an stunning grey girl out of the first litter to be bred from two grey Tervuren in the US. She comes with incredible type, wonderful temperament and a side gait to die for.
The picture below is of Phoebe's AKC 4-point major that she won at the Whidbey Island shows in November, 2005. This was only Phoebe's second all breed AKC show! The judge was James White.
At the ABTC Specialty in 2002, in Silverdale, Washington, Phoebe placed second in a large American Bred Class to her litter sister Pele (Am Ch Blackwater's Power Play). Pele went on to Winner's Bitch and Best of Winners! Also at the 2002 Specialty, Phoebe's half sister, Dash (Am Ch. Blackwater's Partez at Peloton) was BOB and Phoebe's daddy, Olim, got another Select!! The judge for this Specialty was breeder Sharon Redmer.
At the 2001 Specialty in Kansas City, she was Second in the American Bred class to her 1/2 sister Dash. We are very proud of that placement because her color is such a fault in the US, there was a large, competitive entry and Dash went on to win Winners Bitch and Best of Winners. Olim, Phoebe's sire, was also a Select at that same specialty under breeder-judge Skip Stanbridge.

Phoebe has been shown in a total of six UKC shows, spanning four years and has been rated excellent at all of them. She also placed best female overall under Dermott Young.

I would have to say Phoebe is one of those "once in a lifetime" Belgians. Look for her in the AKC and UKC conformation ring, competing in herding trials and maybe even competing in Agility!!!

Phoebe is owned, loved and trained by us and co-owned by breeder Dr. Linda Fung.
